Urge Our Elected Officials to Designate Us a Children’s Hospital

STHS Childrens hospital exterior

Edinburg Children’s Hospital opened its doors in 2006 as the first full-service freestanding children’s hospital in the Rio Grande Valley. To date, the hospital, renamed South Texas Health System Children’s in 2020, has served more than 300,000 pediatric patients and their families as the only children’s hospital operating South of San Antonio for a stretch of 17 years.

STHS Children’s serves thousands of children annually, but has not yet been granted the “Children’s Hospital” designation through state licensing. You can help us obtain that official designation.
